US mid-market private equity firm Irving Place Capital has appointed two new senior advisors for its industrial practice.
C Thomas O’Grady and Michael McLain will be tasked with finding and pursuing new investments in branded products companies which they believe can have their value built.
O’Grady previously served as senior vice president for business development at Cooper Industries, while McLain has worked in various partnership capacities with Irving Place since 2004.
Douglas Korn, senior managing director at the firm, said, “Mike has been an important part of our team as an executive, a board member, and as a trusted advisor for years.
“His deep experience and invaluable skill set will continue to help accelerate growth and value creation at our portfolio companies.
“Both Tom and Mike bring extensive talents and expertise to IPC that will help differentiate our industrial platform.”
Irving Place has raised more than $4bn in equity capital since it was founded in 1997, including its current $2.7bn institutional fund.
