Russian investment firm VTB Capital has hired Vladimir Kolychev as chief economist for the Russian region. He was formerly head of research at Rosbank.
He will report to Petr Grishin, head of macro research at VTB Capital.
VTB Capital is the investment division of VTB and is one of its three strategic business arms, along with the corporate and retail businesses. Since its foundation in 2008, the firm has taken part in more than 430 deals in Russia and CIS.
It operates in Moscow, London, Singapore, Dubai, Hong Kong, Sofia, New York, Paris and Vienna, with headquarters in Moscow.
Earlier this year, VTB Capital topped Baring Vostok to become the largest private equity investor in Russia.
