Swoon Editions was founded in March 2012, and has traded until now as Decoholic. The company was founded by Brian Harrison and Debbie Williamson. Harrison was formerly a senior executive at kgb, and served as Global CEO of kgb deals and CEO of The Number. Previously he was the executive responsible for digital strategy at Telegraph Media Group, which is where he first worked with co-founder Williamson, who previously ran digital product development at Telegraph Media Group and was previously an account director at M&C Saatchi.
Robin Klein, who led the investment for Index Ventures said, “Debbie and Brian use their exceptional analytical skills and meticulous attention to quality and detail in order to simplify an often complex and inefficient supply chain. The result is a compelling business model for both investors and customers.”
Swoon Editions said it will use the investment to expand its range of products, and accelerate its marketing in the UK.
Octopus recently named Rob Devey, former CEO of Prudential UK and Europe, as an independent non-executive director to the firm.
