Montana Board of Investments commits $95m to five funds


montanaMontana Board of Investments has committed $95m to five private equity, debt and real estate funds.

Private equity funds Kinderhook Capital Fund IV, Guardian Capital Partners II and Veritas Capital Fund V have each received a $20m commitment from the LP.

Distressed debt-focused firm Catalyst Capital Group has secured $15m for its Fund IV and real estate investor Harbert Management and received $20m for its US Real Estate Fund V.

Montana Board of Investments manages nine pension funds with total assets under management of $9.8bn.

As at the end of June this year, 10.5 per cent and 8.7 per cent of the capital was committed to private equity and real estate funds, respectively.

Earlier this month Montana confirmed a $15m investment to Southern Capital Fund III and a $20m commitment to Trilantic Capital Partners V.
