Oak Hill Investment Management has spun out of The Robert M Bass/Oak Hill organization and rebranded itself as Jasper Ridge Partners.
Jasper’s managing partners initially joined Robert M Bass/Oak Hill in 1995. There they managed external capital for successful entrepreneurs and later formed Oak Hill Investment Management.
The Menlo Park-headquartered firm said the name change reflected the spinout and the expansion of its activities.
Jasper Ridge managing partner Jamie Alexander said, “The announcement of our new name strengthens our positioning as a fully discretionary manager operating independently of Mr Bass and other Oak Hill entities.
“We are enormously appreciative of our heritage with the Bass/Oak Hill organization, and are pleased to have Mr Bass as our ongoing partner in the firm.”
Jasper Ridge will continue to provide investment management services to families, foundations and global institutions.
Robert Bass will retain a minority stake in Jasper, which became majority owned by its investment professionals in 2008.
Jasper Ridge currently manages $10bn across all asset classes including private and public, venture capital, hedge funds, real estate and fixed income.
