Technology-focused private equity firm Vector Capital has made another experienced hire as expectations rise over it announcing a new fundraise.
The firm has brought in experienced operating executive Andrew Jacobson, pictured, as a managing director, a role he held at his previous job with business development company MCG Capital.
Vector said Jacobson would be responsible for developing direct lending opportunities within Vector’s credit strategies.
At MCG Capital he ran debt and equity transactions in media, technology and other industries, originating direct investments, overseeing portfolio companies and managing exits.
Vector CIO Alex Slusky said, “We are delighted to welcome Andy to Vector.
“He has an extensive background in middle market lending and fund formation and we are eager to have him focus his knowledge and energy on Vector’s direct lending credit efforts.”
Vector is currently investing out of the $1.2bn fourth fund it closed back in July 2007, but has so-far been quiet on the subject of a follow-up fund.
Ramazetti most recently held the same role at Piper Jaffray, and previously worked at RBC Capital Markets and Cowen & Co.
He has more than 20 years of expertise working with technology companies including over a decade in technology investment banking.
