Dutch venture capital firm Gilde Healthcare Partners has opened of its first US office in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and appointed a new partner to join its office in the Netherlands.
The firm’s US investment activity is jointly managed by Dirk Kersten, who moved from the Utrecht office to Cambridge, and Geoff Pardo who recently joined Gilde as a partner.
In addition, Janke Dittmer has joined Gilde Healthcare in The Netherlands as a partner. Dittmer has been senior director of new business development and venture general manager at Philips Healthcare’s corporate venture unit. Prior to this he was a manager at McKinsey.
Also this week, Gilde announced it had led a $17.5m Series B financing round for Inova Labs, a privately held medical device company focused on developing innovative products for the Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease market.
