San Francisco technology company Premise has raised $11m through a Series B funding round.
The funding was led by new investor The Social+Capital Partnership, with participation from existing backers Google Ventures, Harrison Metal and Bowery Capital.
With this funding, Social Capital’s Chamath Palihapitiya will join Karim Faris of Google Ventures on the Premise board, the company said.
Premise is an economic monitoring platform that seeks to build a global network to “track macroeconomic and human development trends in real time”. Its data set includes price, MSRP/list price, discount, in-stock, and ratings information for products and services across the globe. This includes over 20,000 e-commerce websites and extensive real-world coverage across key cities in Asia, Latin America, USA, and Europe.
