Bridgepoint in talks to acquire Edmond de Rothschild Capital Partners

14 Apr 2014

paris5_sqPrivate equity firm Bridgepoint Development Capital is reportedly looking to buy peer Edmond de Rothschild Capital Partners (EdCRP).

Bridgepoint is currently in talks to buy the firm, said the Financial News, citing people familiar with the matter.

EdCRP, which currently has around €510m across two funds, is focused on buyout deals valued at between €30m and €200m.

Last November EdCRP managing partners Eric de Montgolfier and Erick Fouque decided to resign.

They were replaced by Bertrand Demesse and Louis-Antoine Roullier, who were promoted to managing partners.

The former managing directors were believed to be at odds over strategic plans with Edmond de Rothschild Group, which decided to concentrate on on raising a new fund for Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners.
