Michael Kulper will primarily focus on deal sourcing from the firm’s New York office.
He has more than 20 years of experience in deal origination and asset management, the last decade of which was spent with Transurban managing its $3bn North American portfolio.
Kulper had previously spent eleven years at Credit Suisse, rising to the level of director of investment banking, where he originated and executed M&A and capital raising operations.
He began his career at Westpac Banking Corporation in Sydney.
Earlier this year IFM added Tom Osborne as an executive director of its infrastructure team, while Rich Randall was brought in to head its infrastructure debt capability in North America in October.
The firm secured regulatory approval for its new office in April this year.
The new office will be led by Lars Bespolka, who joined IFM five years ago following a 15 year career in investment banking. He was previously based in IFM’s New York office.
