Oasis, the British chain of dentists backed by mid-market private equity firm Duke Street, has hired DC Advisory to explore sale options as it looks to double the number of clinics it operates, according to the Daily Telegraph newspaper.
Duke Street needs to raise new funding or sell Oasis in order to finance the company’s ambitious growth plans, the report said. A sale could fetch over £250m.
Oasis is the number two dentistry chain in the UK with more than 200 practices and 850 dentists. The business, which was bought out by Duke Street in 2007 for £125m, posted revenue of £136m for the year ending March 2011.
