The company operates a range of popular Peruvian-style restaurants throughout the country and in 19 major cities worldwide, include New York, Sao Paolo and Buenos Aires.
Its brands include family-oriented restaurant chain Tanta, fine dining seafood chain La Mar and Astrid y Gastón, ranked in the San Pellegrino World’s 50 Best Restaurants last year.
Aureos’ partner and Peru head Hector Martinez said, “Peru’s gastronomy industry is a fast-growing sector both locally and internationally.
“We are seeing a growing trend in markets outside of Latin America for the consumption of Peruvian cuisine which plays into our value creation strategy of growing Acurio Restaurantes footprint in these lucrative markets.”
Last year Aureos’ Latin America Fund invested in Peru’s Condor Travel, which has grown to count 30,000 inbound tourists a year as customers since it was founded 34 years ago.
