Orix Corporate Capital has appointed Jeff Sangalis to its Dallas office as a managing director of mezzanine and private equity co-investments.
Sangalis will focus on providing mezzanine and private equity capital to mid-market companies in the US. Capital will be deployed for acquisitions, expansion of successful businesses and recapitalisations in a variety of industries and regions. Investments will be made with equity sponsors, family and individual owners, and directly with management teams.
Chris Smith, president and CEO of OCC, said, “I am excited to welcome a professional of Jeff’s calibre and investment experience to Orix. He has a long and successful history of mezzanine and private equity investing in middle market companies throughout the United States, and is a great addition to the Orix Corporate Capital team.”
Sangalis joins the OCC Dallas office from Houston, where he was a founder and managing partner of Capital Point Partners, a mid-market mezzanine and private equity firm. Prior to Capital Point, he was a founder and managing partner of RSTW Partners and its predecessor entities.
He also was previously with First Texas Merchant Banking Group, a subordinated debt lender, Bankers Trust Company (now Deutsche Bank), and InterFirst Bank in various commercial lending capacities.
