Qualcomm Ventures has taken part in a second funding round for China-based mobile web browser developer Mobotap, it is understood.
The Dolphin Browser developer previously received $10m of Series A financing from Sequoia Capital and Matrix Partners last July.
Android and iPhone-based dolphin features a gesture and voice control system, allowing users to train their mobile to respond to different voice and hand commands.
Qualcomm Ventures was formed in 2000 with a $500m fund commitment to make strategic investments in early-stage high-technology ventures.
Since then it has funded numerous companies in the wireless sector and set up several exclusive regional funds to spur development in key strategic markets, including a $100m fund in China and a €100m fund in Europe.
