DCM leads $9m Series B round for mobile advert analytics business Apsalar

pie chart graphsEarly stage venture capital firm DCM has led a $9m Series B financing round for mobile advertising and analytics company Apsalar.

Fellow new investors Correlation Ventures also took part in the round alongside existing backers Thomvest Ventures and DN Capital.

The company makes use of anonymised data supplied by more than 800 million mobile app users to help advertisers target consumers more effectively.

DCM partner Osuke Honda said, “Apsalar is the leader in ROI-driven mobile user acquisition. They are unique in their ability to identify high value and highly engaged mobile users, and they are the only company that combines real time mobile analytics with attribution and a mobile demand-side platform (DSP) with 1st party data.

“We are impressed by their traction with top mobile players across multiple industries.  Apsalar is definitely the player to watch in the mobile DSP space.”

Earlier this month global private equity investor TA Associates completed an investment in London-based advertising technology company Flashtalking.

Flashtalking’s software allows users to create and deliver online advertising campaigns and analyse the results across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
