Hatteras Funds, a private equity firm based in North Carolina, has raised up to $250,000 for its new fund.
The firm is raising capital for its Hatteras Evergreen Private Equity TEI Fund, according to the latest US Securities and Exchange Commission filing; however, it is unclear how much capital the firm is looking to raise in total.
The $250,000 figure was supplied by a single investor, the document explains.
There is no placement agent listed in the document.
A minimum contribution of $1m has been set for any outside investor looking to contribute to the vehicle.
Earlier in the year, AltAssets revealed Hatteras had registered just over $27m for its Hatteras Evergreen Private Equity Fund. At the time of writing, the vehicle had received commitments from around 84 LPs, according to an SEC filing.
No target for the fund was stipulated, but it indicated it could continue raising capital until 2021.
It is unclear whether the new TEI Fund is a separate vehicle or being raised in-tandem with the formerly announce fund.
