German firm Orlando Management closes second fund on €255m


Orlando Management, a Munich, Germany-based private equity investment advisor specialising in special situations investments in the German middle market, has closed its latest fund, Special Situations Venture Partners II, on €255m. The firm initially targeted a fund size of between €180m and €200m.

Both US and European investors have committed to the new fund.

Orlando will continue to focus on the acquisition of industrial ‘Mittelstand’ companies with sales in the range of €50-500m. The firm seeks platform acquisitions in german-speaking countries and add-on acquisitions worldwide.

The new fund’s predecessor, Special Situations Venture Partners, closed on €163m in March 2002.
