French listed private equity firm Eurazeo has acquired a significant stake in OFI Private Equity Capital, and said it also hopes to acquire all remaining shares in the firm.
Eurazeo now holds nearly a million shares, representing 93.93 per cent of OFI capital.
Shares not held by Eurazeo now account for less than five per cent of OFI capital, which Eurazeo plans to squeeze out through a request to the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF), the French financial regulator.
OFI targets the lower mid-market segment, and holds controlling stakes in ten companies with enterprise values up to €200m.
Eurazeo announced the acquisition in April in exchange for shares valued at €132m.
