Washington private equity firm DFW Capital Partners has appointed Douglas Gilbert as a general partner.
In his new role he will be focused on all aspects of the firm’s investment activities, including deal sourcing, execution, portfolio company financings, fundraising and overall portfolio management, DFW said.
For five years prior to joining DFW, Gilbert was a managing director with MCG Capital Corporation, a publicly-traded business development company focused on senior, mezzanine and direct private equity investments in middle market operating companies.
Prior to MCG, he was a partner with Winston Partners, a lower-middle market focused private equity firm.
Keith Pennell, general partner of DFW, said, “We have had the pleasure of working with Doug for many years through two prior portfolio companies and hold his investment style and professionalism in very high regard. As we look to expand our investment team and capital base, we are thrilled to add an individual with Doug’s caliber to our team.”
DeVer Warner has also joined the firm as an associate, based in the Teaneck, New Jersey office.
