CapVest has completed its acquisition of a majority stake in European energy infrastructure services provider TSG. The Paris-headquartered company operates across 30 countries, employs more than 7,000 people and generates annual revenue exceeding €1.4bn – providing design, installation and maintenance services across power, EV charging, solar, battery storage, biofuels and gas infrastructure. CapVest said acquisitions will continue to be central to TSG’s growth strategy, following nearly 50 acquisitions completed across 20 countries in less than four years.
Truelink Capital has acquired Lyons Magnus from Paine Schwartz Partners, marking the second platform investment for the firm’s Fund II. Founded in 1852, the California-headquartered company develops and manufactures specialty ingredients, beverage and nutrition products for B2B customers across coffeehouse, QSR, foodservice and healthcare markets. Truelink said it plans to support the business through commercial growth initiatives and strategic add-on acquisitions.
Pelican Energy Partners has acquired Riggins Company, a US provider of engineered metal fabrication and custom components serving the US Navy, shipbuilding, power, refining, petrochemical and aerospace sectors. Riggins, which was created in 1960, specialises in custom metal fabrication, specialty welding, engineering, turnkey project management and field installation services. The company says it has established relationships with major US nuclear shipbuilding contractors and industrial customers. Pelican said the investment will support expansion of Riggins’ manufacturing capacity as demand increases for components supporting the US Navy’s submarine and aircraft carrier programmes.
Greenbelt Capital Partners has made a majority investment in Bowe & Gant Electrical Services, a US provider of electrical and energy infrastructure services, with the founders retaining significant equity stakes and continuing to lead the business. Bowe & Gant employs around 200 people and provides substation services, electrical testing, power distribution and renewable energy installation across the Northeastern US. Its customer base includes utilities, data centres, industrial companies and renewable energy operators. Greenbelt said it will support the company’s next phase of growth while preserving its founder-led culture.
Brightstar Capital Partners has acquired BrightTree Studios, adding technology design capabilities to its architecture and design platform, which already includes KZF Design and Erdman. Pennsylvania-based BrightTree provides audiovisual, IT, telecom, security and acoustics design services for higher education, healthcare and corporate clients. The acquisition expands the platform’s service offering and creates opportunities for cross-selling technology design services across its existing customer base. Brightstar said the transaction strengthens its integrated architecture and design platform while preserving BrightTree’s specialist expertise. Brightstar manages approximately $5bn in assets and focuses on control investments across business services, industrials, technology, media, telecom and financial services.
