Frontier tech-focused venture capital investor Lux Capital has raised close to $1.5bn across a pair of new funds.
Lux has hauled in $675m for its seventh early-stage fund, and another $800m for Lux Total Opportunities to double down on existing portfolio businesses and back new companies through later-stage deals.
The deeptech specialist raised $500m for its sixth early-stage fund two years ago, alongside a $500m growth-stage fund.
Lux aims to back businesses working at the cutting edge of new tech, in sectors including computing, robotics and healthcare.
In April the firm saw portfolio business Recursion Pharmaceuticals hold an IPO, while the firm has recently made new investments including pet telehealth platform Pawp.
Other investments have included autonomous vehicle sensor specialist Aeva, 3D data platform Matterport and smart door and access developer Latch.
