The $52.3bn-managing Illinois Teachers’ Retirement System has revealed a trio of new private equity commitments totalling almost $170m.
RCP Advisors was the big recipient, picking up $125m, while SK Capital Partners gained a $44m pledge from the institutional investor.
ITRS’ commitment to RCP was for the RCP Multi-Feeder SBO 1.0 fund of funds, while SK received the capital for its SKCP Catalyst Fund 1-A.
The pension fund also revealed it had brought on board StepStone Group as a consultant for its private equity and real estate investments, in a five-year contract beginning on Jan 1, 2020.
TorreyCove Capital Partners is ITRS’ current private equity adviser.
Other recent private equity commitments from the pension fund include $500m each to multi-strategy private credit strategies managed separately by Hayfin Capital Management and Intermediate Capital Group in October.
