Turnaround firm Blantyre strikes €500m hard cap for debut fundraise

Turnaround-focused private equity investor Blantyre Capital has hit a €500m hard cap close for its debut fund.

The London-based firm targets European companies it can relaunch following “temporary financial challenges”.

Blantyre recently bought all the assets of sensors, switches and controls businesses SeufferGroup, which became insolvent following failed investments in a new business segment.

The rebranded Advanced Sensor Technologies will focus on sensors, switches and controls for commercial and passenger vehicles, household appliances and other industries.

EdgeLine Capital Partners acted as the placement agent for Blantyre’s debut raise.

Joe Silver, co-founder at EdgeLine, said, “We were honored to work with Blantyre Capital on their successful maiden fundraise, which confirmed the high regard investors have for Blantyre’s experience and expertise in European special situations.”
