Since its inception, Warburg has invested more than $6bn in the financial services sector around the globe including $3.5bn since 2008.
Head of European Financial Services for Warburg Pincus said, “There will likely be a range of opportunities for investment in the financial services sector in Europe during the coming years, both within and outside the Eurozone countries.
“With over thirty years of financial services investment experience, our firm is well placed to address these opportunities, some of which will involve partnering with leading European financial institutions as they seek to restructure and raise capital for their organisations.
“I look forward to working with Jacques as we expand our financial services investing activities across Europe.”
