Early stage firm US Venture Partners has expanded its team by promoting Jacques Benkoski to partner and hiring two new ‘in residence’ experts.
Former Electric Cloud CEO Mike Maciag will be executive in residence, with former Human Genome Science senior vice president Craig Parker joining as entrepreneur in residence.
Benkoski’s promotion follows eight years building the firm as an active investor in the US IT and Israeli markets.
He recently won the 2013 International Fund Award for Innovative Venture Capitalist of the Year for his work in Israel.
Benkoski’s investments with the firm to date include Chute, HelloFax and Plumgrid.
The firm said the promotion and hired came off a record 2012 which saw it distribute more than $500m, and added it had continued a strong investment pace in the first quarter of 2013.
Over the past two months USVP has made initial and follow-on investments in Exablox, Skytree, Clustrix, Zerto, eFFECTOR Therapeutics, Cleave Biosciences, PlaceIQ and Chute.
