Summit seals second hire in a week with new head of talent, recruitment

D.Ogden_SP_Jan14_032finalGlobal growth equity investor Summit Partners has made his second hire of the week by bringing in Dayton Ogden from CTPartners as head of talent and recruiting.

Summit said Ogden would work with its portfolio companies and investment teams to find and recruit “high-impact” senior executives and board members.

Harrison Miller, a managing director at Summit, said, “We’ve worked with Dayton for a number of years, and he’s consistently distinguished himself by successfully recruiting senior executives to a variety of Summit portfolio companies, ranging from Central Security Group to Telerik to Wildfire Interactive.

“Dayton will serve as a tremendous resource to our portfolio companies, driving searches for CEO direct reports and board members across all industries and geographies.

“We look forward to continuing to work with him.

Ogden has almost two decades of experience leading executive, board, partner, and principal investor searches for venture capital and growth equity firms and their portfolio companies.

Prior to being managing partner and venture capital practice leader at CTPartners he was co-founder and partner at Fortis Partners, a full-service technology recruiting boutique, and a senior associate with Spencer Stuart.

Earlier this week Summit hired oilfield products expert Mark Crews as an executive partner.

Crews will work to expand Summit’s technology-enabled oilfield products and services businesses, identifying deals and advising companies after investment.
