Private equity placement agent Rede Partners has celebrated its tenth anniversary with a trio of partner promotions. Alexandra Bazarewski, pictured, Magnus Goodlad and Bruce Weir will strengthen the firm’s presence in the US market and boost the growth in transaction business, Rede said.
Bazarewski was Rede’s first US-based employee and opened the firm’s New York office. She led the firm’s Americas Coverage team and secured the firm’s first global fundraise for a US-based client. The firm has since raised over €22bn in capital commitments from North American LPs.
Goodlad was the head of the firm’s transaction practice, and has led the team to close four transactions worth in aggregate €1bn for GPs in recent months.
Weir joined the firm as the first chief operating officer working on internal infrastructure and culture. The company doubled in size to a 90-people team under his tenure.
Co-founder Scott Church said, “I am incredibly proud of how the firm has evolved and the role we have played in helping our clients achieve success. With an expanding team and increasingly clear lines of specialism, including Impact and Transactions, we have a strong base for continued growth. This expansion of our partnership represents another step forward for our business, and most importantly, for our clients.”
Rede has advised on fundraising and transactions with aggregate capital raised exceeding €53bn since its inception in 2011. It has completed six final closes this year and is expecting seven more before year end.
The firm brought in hugely experienced industry advisor Eric Ellul as its first chairman and hired Etiene Ekpo-Utip and Matthew Zuckerman as associate principals last year.
