UK private equity firm Primary Capital has hired Iain Wolstenholme as a partner to lead a new Manchester office for the business.
Wolstenholme has spent more than 20 years working in the region, most recently as a partner with Gresham Private Equity.
He joined that firm in 2007, and previously had advisory roles in corporate finance with PwC and EY.
Primary CEO Neil Wallace said, “We are delighted to welcome Iain as a partner to Primary.
“We look forward to using Iain’s outstanding track record at Gresham in the local Manchester market as the cornerstone to building a significant local presence in the northern region.”
Primary recently announced it had closed its latest fund, Primary IV, at its £225m target.
Primary IV has the same strategy for each of its previous funds, targeting management buy-outs and buy-ins with enterprise values of between £20m and £100m.
