PE lawyer Frank Sun rejoins Kirkland Ellis in Hong Kong


law-gavel-judge-court-crimePrivate equity lawyer Frank Sun has rejoined Kirkland & Ellis as a partner in the Hong Kong office four years after leaving the firm.

Sun returns to the business from the Hong Kong office of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison.

The lawyer focuses his practice on M&A, private equity and complex corporate transactions in China and the wider Asian market.

He has previously worked for clients including The Carlyle Group, CITIC Capital, KKR, Morgan Stanley Private Equity Asia and Temasek.

Sun was with Kirkland’s New York office between 2007 and 2008 representing private equity buyers in M&A transactions as well as fund formation, secured lending and refinancing transactions.
