Odgers Berndtson hires ex-BVCA chairman to lead private equity practice


haversExecutive recruitment firm Odgers Berndtson has appointed former BVCA chairman Simon Havers as head of its new private equity practice.

In his new job, Havers, pictured, will develop the firm’s presence in the private equity industry in interim management, executive search, non-executive appointments and management assessment.

Havers is joining the firm from Baird Capital Partners Europe where he served as chief executive. He has also served as chairman of the British Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (BVCA).

Managing director of Odgers Interim Grant Speed said, “I am delighted Simon has joined us. He has been a well known and much respected figure in the private equity community for many years so brings with him a wealth of experience, insight and contacts.

“Our aim is to now expand our position in that market – especially as it complements many of our existing activities.”
