US pension giant the New York State Teachers Retirement System has reportedly lost private equity co-manager Sean Holland after three years.
Holland is yet to be replaced according to pension fund spokesman John Cardillo, who confirmed the news to peHub.
His co-manager Gerald Yahoudy remains in the role. Holland’s duties included directing venture capital, distressed, special situations, secondaries, mezzanine, direct equity investments and international leveraged buyouts.
Holland was previously a managing director at Hercules Technology Growth Capital between 2008 and 2010, and private equity, mezzanine and alternative assets director at MetLife between 2006 and 2007.
PeHub added that Holland is the second private equity investment professional to leave NYSTRS this year, following Joseph Rest joining the New York State Common Retirement Fund in February.
