Canadian private markets fund manager Northleaf Capital Partners has expanded its private equity secondaries team with the addition of Matthieu Ducharme as vice president in its London office.
In his new role Ducharme will participate in all aspects of Northleaf’s private markets investment activities, with a particular focus on the origination and evaluation of private equity secondary investments.
Prior to Northleaf, he was a partner at PEFOX, a London-based private equity secondaries and derivatives broker.
The company was bought last year by Tullett Prebon and renamed Tullett Prebon Private Equity Solutions.
He previously worked with Pantheon’s secondaries team in London where he was responsible for the sourcing, evaluation and negotiation of portfolio, fund and direct secondary transactions.
Ducharme began his career with an expansion capital fund sponsored by Société Générale Asset Management in Paris.
Northleaf is currently raising capital for its Northleaf Secondary Partners fund, a specialist private equity secondary vehicle focused on global secondary transactions.
The firm currently manages $4.5bn of private markets commitments through five global private equity funds, a specialist private equity secondary fund, an infrastructure co-investment fund and a series of customised private equity and infrastructure investment mandates.
