Gonzalo has over 20 years of private equity experience and has worked for both Mercapital and N+1 Private Equity, the firm said.
He has been responsible for deals in the food packaging, tourism, distribution and personal care sectors.
N+1 Mercapital also said that it has appointed Federico Pastor its managing partner former N+1 CEO Federico Pastor as its chairman.
In August last year the firm exited its investment in Spanish information, communications and technology services provider Arsys, which was acquired by United Internet subsidiary 1&1.
