LGV managing director steps down to join Electra Partners

london city 15 gerkin_sqLGV Capital managing partner Bill Priestley as left the private equity firm to join Electra Partners as a partner.

will join the firm’s management and investment committees and will work alongside chief investment partner Alex Fortescue and the investment team to invest Electra Partners’ £450m of dry powder.

Priestley spent more than 10 years with LGV where he led a number of deals including The Liberation Group, South Lakeland Parks, Amber Taverns and The Club Company.

Priestley has also worked at N M Rothschild & Sons and Barclays Bank.

Electra chief investment partner Alex Fortescue said, “We are delighted to welcome Bill to Electra Partners as a member of our senior management team. Bill is a key hire to continue to develop the firm and to further drive Electra’s deal sourcing and execution capability.”

Electra, which is based in London, is focused on buyouts and co-investments, secondaries and debt.

As at the end of September, the firm had assets under management of £1.5bn.

In September last year Electra appointed former Palamon Capital Partners principal as an investment director.
