KKR’s India head steps down

KKRHead of KKR’s Indian operations Heramb Hajarnavis has stepped down after four years with the private equity firm.

Hajarnavis plans to launch his own private equity firm.

He joined KKR in 2010 after working at Goldman Sachs, where he was a founding member, managing director and co-head of private equity in India.

Hajarnavis was also part of the senior management team at Centennial Communications Corp, focusing on developing telecommunication services in the Caribbean.

KKR’s recent deals include the exit from China Modern Dairy Holdings. The firm sold the rest of its stake in the company in an $80m deal.
