Khosla Ventures general partner Shirish Sathaye has resigned after three years with the venture capital firm.
Sathaye left the firm on Friday and it is unknown whether he will keep his seats on the board, said Fortune. He decided to leave to spend more time with his family, according to Dow Jones.
Prior to joining Khosla, Sathaye spent a decade with Matrix Partners, were he also served as a general partner.
His past investments include Big Switch Networks, LightSail Energy, ParStream, TraceVector, Aruba Networks and Tiga Energy.
Earlier this year Khosla hired hired former executive vice president of LinkedIn and PayPal Keith Rabois and ex-Google, Facebook and YouTube exec Benjamin Ling as partners.
The firm’s recent deals included an investment in power control systems provider Varentec as part of an $8m round backed by Bill Gates.
