Insight Equity raids fellow private equity firms, makes five new hires


texas cattleTexas private equity firm Insight Equity Holdings has hired five new team members, four of which have come from other buyout houses.

New vice president Will Dobbs and associate Michael Ogilvie both join the firm from Quad-C Management, a mid-market investor with about $2bn under management.

Jack Nadal also joins as a vice president from Oak Hill Capital, Tom Friel as an associate from Macquarie Capital and Robby Myers as an associate from Houlihan Lokey.

Insight CEO and managing partner Ted Beneski said, “We are excited to welcome Will, Jack, Tom, Michael and Robby to the Insight Equity team.

“We look forward to working with them and believe their skills and expertise will bring strong additional capacity to deal sourcing, structuring, and portfolio company value creation.”

Earlier this year Insight portfolio company Emerge Energy Services listed on the New York Stock Exchange, raising more than $127m selling 7.5 million shares.

Insight said it continued to hold a significant stake in the sand production and fuel processing business following the IPO.
