boardroom 2Partners and head of private equity at Highland Capital Management Patrick Boyce has stepped down after ten years.

Boyce will continue as a board member of some of Highland’s portfolio companies, said Bloomberg.

Prior to joining Highland in 2004, Boyce served as a vice president in the investment banking group of Citigroup.

He has also worked as an investment banking associate at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette.

Jim Dondero and John Honis, who worked alongside Boyce, will continue to manage Highland’s private equity business, said the report.

Last October Highland secured a $250m mandate from the Texas Municipal Retirement System for one of its credit strategies using senior secured bank loans and CLO debt.
