Global venture investor Highland Capital Partners has made another senior staff change in the wake of its successful ninth fundraise.
The firm has brought in consumer media and technology expert Walt Doyle as a venture partner, just weeks after promoting Jeremiah Daly and Alex Taussig to partner.
Doyle is a veteran of both the San Francisco and Boston entrepreneurial regions, and was most recently the general manager of PayPal Media managing the product, sales and operations.
Highland general partner Bob Davis said, “Walt is an accomplished CEO with experience and success in building a company of consequence.
“As a trusted advisor and mentor, Walt has developed an exceptional network of entrepreneurs and angels in the Boston area.
“He has his finger on the pulse of great entrepreneurs and the companies that are helping to define the enormous opportunities consumers are looking to embrace.”
Highland was reported to have hit the $400m target for its ninth early-stage fund in October.
