Head of private equity at Australia’s MLC Brakey steps down


brakeyHead of private equity at National Australia Bank’s wealth management division MLC has stepped down.

He will be replaced by chief investment officer of the private equity unit Natalie Meyenn, said the Asian Venture Capital Journal.

Prior to joining MLC, Brakey worked for global buyout firm KKR, where he was responsible for Investor Relations and fundraising for private equity in Australia and New Zealand.

He has also served as head of private equity fund of funds in Macquarie Funds Group. He was chair of the investment committee and managed A$5bn ($4.8bn) in commitments in both domestic and international funds.
