HarbourVest promotes two

boardroom3_170sqPrivate equity firm HarbourVest Partners has promoted Julie Eiermann and Tim Flower to managing director.

Eiermann is one of HarbourVest’s longest serving employees, having joined the firm in 1993 from Advent. The firm said Eiermann has helped develop its portfolio analytics team, which is responsible for the collection, tracking, benchmarking, and analysis of all investment data, including primary partnership, secondary, and direct investments.

Flowers joined the firm in 2008 and has led its secondary investment efforts in Asia. Notable deals include Project Hermanus IV, a secondary direct purchase of five South African businesses from a Johannesburg-based bank, as well as Project Beijing, which involved the purchase of interests in eight China-based companies, together with NewQuest Capital.

HarbourVest senior managing director Brooks Zug said, “We are pleased to recognize Julie and Tim, who focus on different aspects of our business and represent HarbourVest’s deep experience and global expertise.

“These promotions reflect our dedication to the development of the next generation of our firm.”

Last month HarbourVest teamed up with Dubai-based buyout and advisory firm Lagoon Capital Partners to work on deals in the Middle East.
