Growth equity firm Fulcrum Equity Partners has hired experience executive Jim Douglass as a partner.
Douglass most recently worked as CEO of card-linked marketing specialist Vesdia, which served the financial services, marketing services and healthcare sectors.
He is still a director of Cartera Commerce, which merged with Vesdia in 2011.
Prior to his tenure as Vesdia, Douglass worked as CEO of Visionary Systems, a provider of decision systems for credit providers and retailers that was acquired by Trans Union in 2004, and as CFO of CheckFree Corporation.
Fulcrum founding partner Jeff Muir said, “We’ve known Jim for over 20 years and have enjoyed watching his career develop and blossom.
“We place a strong emphasis on surrounding ourselves and our companies with individuals of the highest caliber, and we’re certain that Jim will be a tremendous addition to our team.
Fulcrum, based in Atlanta, currently has more than $140m under management. The firm invests $1m to $5m with the ability to invest up to $10m.
