In his new job, Ehrlich will focus on identifying and investing in early-stage consumer, mobile, and small business oriented startups and technologies.
The announcement came a fortnight after the firm appointed former Comcast Ventures investor Adi Singh as a partner.
At Facebook, Ehrlich was responsible for the Facebook Brand and led the team that built programmes like Facebook Stories and Facebook Voices. He has also served as vice president of Canada’s largest book retailer Indigo Books & Music, where he built the online business from $40m to more than $100m.
Foundation Capital general partner Charles Moldow said, “(Ehrlich) has tremendous operating experience, a strong rapport with entrepreneurs and knows what it’s like to be on the front lines of the VC world.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have him find new projects and look forward to the immediate value he’ll provide to the founders and management teams at our portfolio companies.”
