Former White House advisor, venture capitalist Eidenberg passes away


dcFormer White House advisor and venture capitalist Eugene Eidenberg has passed away of glioblastoma at the age of 74.

Eidenberg served as an advisor to President Jimmy Carter and later worked as president and CEO of Macrovision Corporation and principal at San Francisco-based venture capital firm Hambrecht & Quist.

Since 2005, Eidenberg worked as a strategic advisor at venture capital firm Granite Venture Associates.

In recent years, Mr. Eidenberg helped create the first renewable energy company on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, Pacific Power and Light.
