Ledgwidge will be based in the Bristol office of the British investment body and will be responsible for identifying investable local businesses in Hampshire, Berkshire, Wiltshire and the Thames Valley.
Before joining BGF, the new hire completed a 12-month secondment at Lloyds Banking Group’s private equity arm LDC where she was investment manager in the new business investment team.

BGF has invested around £50m in the South West, Wales and Thames Valley to date including in the oil and gas manufacturing, online retail, software and construction sectors.
Earlier this month the fund invested £2m in specialist pharmaceutical company Abbey Pharma.
