Fontinalis Partners promotes three to partner


laura_petterleTransportation-focused venture capital firm Fontinalis Partners has promoted Chris Cheever, Chris Thomas and Laura Petterle to partner.

Chris Cheever and Chris Thomas co-founded Fontinalis in 2009 with executive chairman of Ford Motor Company Bill Ford, Ralph Booth and Mark Schulz.

Both Cheever and Thomas will continue to be responsible for various processes ranging from deal sourcing and execution to corporate operations and business strategy, said Fontinalis.

Cheever previously held various principal investment roles at LaunchCapital, Highbridge Principal Strategies and UBS, while Thomas conducted financial and strategic analysis at Ford Motor Company and as a technology banker at UBS.

Petterle, pictured, is the firm’s long-time CFO and has also been promoted from managing director to partner.

Fontinalis founder and managing partner Ralph Booth said, “Over the past five years, each has played a critical role in the establishment of the firm, and I am excited to work alongside them in their expanded roles as we continue to grow the Fontinalis platform together.”
