Healthcare-focused private equity firm Enhanced Equity Funds has appointed experienced healthcare investment executive Matthew Thompson as a vice president.
Thompson previously served as a vice president healthcare and technology focused investment firm Riverside Partners.
He has also served in corporate development and corporate strategy at CVS Caremark and worked as a consultant at Monitor Group.
Partner and co-founder of Enhanced Malcolm Kostuchenko said, “Matthew brings extensive healthcare experience to Enhanced Equity.
“We are excited for him to join Enhanced to help build the firm’s capabilities and expertise as well as open new avenues to deploy capital in exciting healthcare businesses.”
Enhanced, which is based in New York, currently has $600m of capital under management across its two funds.
Thomson’s previous employer Riverside closed its fifth fund on its $561m hard cap in May 2012 after only six months on the road.
