Early stage and growth capital firm DN Capital has hired media technology expert Frank Kelcz as venture partner.
Kelcz has more than 30 years’ experience as a media executive and venture capitalist.
Most recently he has been an adviser to the venture capital unit of the Department of UK Trade and Investment, advising UK venture-backed companies as well as VCs in the USA looking to branch out internationally.
Before that Kelcz spent six years as head of media technology investments at SEB Venture Capital in London and was also CEO of MCC Global, a German publicly-listed boutique financial services advisory firm.
DN Capital managing partner Nenad Marovac said that Kelcz’s “global expertise in helping companies expand internationally is second to none”.
He added, “To be able to call on his experience and network will be invaluable to both our international portfolio companies and to us in our search for exciting companies looking to expand into Europe.”
DN Capital is a global early stage and growth capital investor in software, mobile applications, digital media and e-commerce companies with offices in London and Palo Alto.
Kelcz said, “Many of DN Capital’s portfolio companies are at the perfect stage for me to be able to support and boost their business development.”
In April AltAssets reported that DN had attracted €80m for its Global Venture Capital III fund with a €3m commitment from government-owned Finnish Industry Investment.
