Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management has added former HarbourVest Partners exec Claudio Siniscalco and ex-Paul Capital Asia co-head Jason Sambanju to its private equity and private business team.
Sambanju, who joins Deutsche as head of Asia secondaries, will be charge of sourcing and executing secondary private equity investment opportunities across the region from a Hong Kong base.
While at Paul Capital he established and managed the firm’s Hong Kong office and was responsible for finding, executing and monitoring Asian private equity secondary deals.
Siniscalco joins the German bank in the newly created global co-head of co-investments role, where he will be responsible for sourcing and executing opportunities for discretionary and non-discretionary private equity mandates along with Francesco Rigamonti.
Deutsche global head of alternatives and fund solutions Stephane Farouze said, “The addition of these senior professionals reflects our commitment to further enhancing our private equity and private markets offering as we continue to build out our alternative investment capabilities across asset classes and regions.”
At the beginning of July, Deutsche Bank had secured more than $230 for its $1bn-targeting third secondaries fund, according to a document filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission.
