CVC Asia Pacific loses senior IR manager Justine Wardrop

Justine Wardrop, a senior manager with private equity firm CVC Capital Partners’ investor relations team in Asia, has left the firm, PEI has reported.

Based in Hong Kong, Wardrop focuses on the firm’s CVC Asia Pacific strategy. Its most recent fund, Asia Pacific III raised $4.12bn in 2008, while its latest fund in the series is reported to be nearing a $3.5bn closing, having recently secured commitments from Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank.

Earlier this year it was reported that CVC had secured $3bn towards the fund, which held a $2bn closing in December last year. In June 2013 the firm closed its latest flagship private equity vehicle on its €10.5bn hard cap after only six months on the road.

CVC recently poached Pantheon’s head of communications Carsten Huwendiek to a new role within the notoriously guarded private equity firm.
